Enable Google 2SV (aka 2FA/MFA)
As of 5/10/24 Google 2-step Verification is required for all indyschools.com accounts. New employees will have a 2 week grace period to enroll.
Step 1:
Login to your Google account
Step 2:
At the top-right of your screen, click on the button with your profile picture and then click "Manage your Google Account"
Step 3:
On the next screen, click Security in the navigation bar on the left and then under "How you sign in to Google", click on 2-Step Verification
Step 4:
Click "Get Started" and follow the prompts
Step 5:
This is where you'll set up your phone to either receive text messages, phone calls, security keys (do not choose this option), or Google prompts.
- If you want to choose Google prompts, you'll need to already be signed into your Google account on your Android or iOS phone using the Google or Gmail app in order for it to show up.
Step 6:
You will receive a confirmation code via the verification method you selected. Enter that and once it's confirmed you'll be able to Turn On 2SV
Step 7:
You will be taken to the settings page in Fig 7a. where you will need to click "Turn On". Once you've done this and see "2-Step Verification is ON" in Fig. 7b, you are done. If you want to set up another verification method like a second phone number, or an Authentication app, you can also do it from this page. Otherwise you can close the tab.
